Hello there, everyone! I'm new here on the board and this is my first post. My name is Mr. Monkey and I live in Mary Land. My maker (who goes by "monkeystuffer" here) told me about this website and MamaJoy (my human) said it was ok for me to use the computer to write here. I had no idea there was stuff for sock monkeys on the internet! It's awfully hard to type with sock paws though, I'll have to have MamaJoy look into getting one of those voice translator things.

Hi Mr. Monkey! You might look like me a little. I can't tell for sure. Do you like bugs? What is your favorite fish? Have you ever seen a UFO? Nice to meet you!

Hi coco and Munkadelic!

I'd like to pretend I was drinking coffee in my big mug, but it's usually banana smoothies. I imagine that I'm sipping coffee in the morning with MamaJoy though, it seems much more sophisticated. And it's fun when we have matching mugs!

Munkadelic - maybe we are related! There is definitatly a resemblance, though I have nostrils (well, really just one but I used to have two) and a crooked ear. I do not like bugs at all. I'm afraid they're going to nest inside my stuffing, and then MamaJoy would have to get rid of me. I don't know any fish, so I don't have a favorite. And I'm pretty sure I haven't seen any UFO's though I do keep a look out for them sometimes. It's my hope that someday I'll be abducted by aliens and then someone would make a big Hollywood movie about it and cast Edward Norton as me.

Ooh, coco - I saw your website, and would love to have some clothes. How can I get them?

Thanks for responding to my message, it's great to meet other monkeys!

Hello and Welcome Mr. Monkey!!!

I love banana smoothies too!!!!
I put strawberries or blueberries in them sometimes.

I don't think I'd want to be abducted by aliens... might be kinda scary.
Being played by Ed Norton would be totally cool though.

Hello Ceru and MixMonk!

I don't have a wheelbarrow, but I do have a friend who's a dog and he lets me ride him sometimes. I've never been to Fill-E-Dell-Fee-Uh but I do like rock-a-rolla. Sometimes MamaJoy and I listen to the rock-a-rolla and dance together, it's lots of fun. I don't know how to make crab cakes - MamaJoy isn't much of a cook. I'd be afraid to try anyway, I hear that ovens get awfully hot, seems dangerous for a sock monkey.

Nope SadieLou, I don't have a Mrs. Monkey. I haven't met any other sock monkeys at all in person, and I only just started using the internet. I've heard there are dating websites for people, maybe somewhere there's one for monkeys too. It does get a little lonely with just MamaJoy and Spike the dog for company.

Hi Mr. Monkey-

I understand the plight of the nekid monkey and hope to get caught up with my backorders so I can get new clothes back online before the weather turns cool. I was just working on flannel jammies this week. I'll post when I get things up and running.

Coco - flannel jammies sound so warm and cozy! Good luck getting your backorders finished!

Hello,

My name is Emma. I live with 3 other sock monkeys - Ethan, Cherry, and Tommy. Although Ethan will be leaving us shortly; he has been adopted by a local cub scout. My favorite TV shows are "Gilmore Girls, The Roy Rogers Show, and Jeopardy." I also like to eat potato chips. That's all for now, I just wanted to say hey.

Googlie, I like how you think!

What's your favorite kind of double-chocky brownies? Do you ever eat the raw batter? Do you like your brownies baked in a small square pan so they are thick, or in the big rectangle pan so they are thinner and have the crunchy edges?

Nice to meet you.

my fave is double-chocky w/pecans, but walnuts r good 2. At our house, the pet hu-mans always get to lick the bowls!!!!!!! They say raw batter leads to washing of me, but they say it in a nice way, not in a scary way. Still, i am suspeckous about they motives. As for thick or thin, whatever I get always seems the best to me. I never met a chocky brownie I dint like.

coco, may i ask you, is that a magick wand? are you a magickian? i hope so, i love magicks!

Hi googlie-

It's kind of true about the batter and bath thingy.

This isn't a magic wand, it's a sceptor bestowed upon me by the Red Heel Monkey Shelter at the Sock Monkey Festival in Rockford earlier this year, when they named me "Miss Red Heel Monkey Shelter Message Board 2006". Unless someone forgot to tell me otherwise, I think my power is pretty much limited to asking Wysi to do stuff on the board. But he's a pretty smart fella so I haven't asked for anything special so far.

Hello everyone,

I apologize for my tardiness in replying, please forgive me.

Mix Monk,
I do like to barbeque; do you like to play in the leaves? I've never been to Egypt; have you ever been to Mackinac Island? I like rock n' roll music; especially if you can swing to it. I've never made double chocky brownies before; but I can make a mean cherry cheesecake.

Daisy Marie,
Thank you so much. I do some modeling for our 3 cheeky little monkeys store - it's a lot of fun, especially when you get to dress up! Plus, you get to meet so many great people when you're out on a photoshoot. Now I'm dressed up as a cowgirl for Halloween, I can't wait to go trick-or-treating.

Even though we sock monkeys don't have boobs, breast cancer awareness is very important to us. 10% of our profits from our "Pink" lines will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and 10% of profits from all other lines will be donated to the Jane Goodall Institute. We monkeys have to do our part.

Well, Daisy Marie, I have a first born boy by the name of Squishy Jimbo, but he resides far from me in the city of Philadelphia. I traded stuffies with a friend, promising to come back and return her lil' stuffed cyclops back to her for Jimbo. He used to ride with me always in the car in the front seat of my Pontiac 6000. We have gone many grand places within driving distance.

We did a bit of gardening, and cake baking together, but I will admit, it was mostly playstation quality time

I have made girls, but they have all been maried off now and have kids of their own. And there is one confused cross-dressing boy with a lot of style in San Fransico-lol. We all have our own path to follow
