It's easy, Lacie -- you just type:
[ img ]
and paste in the link.
and then type
[ /img ]
after it.
No spaces between the brackets and the img though.
Just like posting a picture, only posting an animated gif.

I am having trouble with my avatar. It used to be that sometimes it would pop up and then sometimes it wouldn't. Then for a while it stayed up pretty consistantly. Now it seems to be gone from the board completely. I got the picture from the forum on my people's website cause the instuctions said it needed to be uploaded from a location. Do ya have any professional insight into this predicament of mine? In the mean time, I will keep tryin'ta work on it.
At this posting my avatar has once again mysteiously appeared...but for how long?

Unfortunately, Frantz, Novogate Message Boards do not have a search function. This is lame, I know, and we may have to invest in an external one, because it is difficult to remember who posts what where sometimes. My suggestion: open a new window or better still a new tab (personally, for a browser, I like Mozilla best!) and go to google. Put as a prompt "Red Heel Monkey Shelter" and your name. You may not get every place you posted, but you will find results.
I discovered these two threads with you on them that way.

Can somebody explain to the us the intracacies of the PM system employed by the forum? We seemed to have been informed a message existed but lost out key to the mailbox.
We certainly don't want anyone to think there is any jiggery and pokery involved in planning Annabelle's adventures to Wisconsin.

This is Babette. I have somehow lost the ability to post without having to enter my username and password every time. The board no longer says Welcome Back, Babette when I come on, it does not recognize me at all! It was working fine yesterday, but Missus LizBeth said she "cleaned some cookies off" of her computer and she thinks that might be the problem. I saw no cookies, but oh well.
Is there a way for the board to recognize me again so I don't have to put the username and password in every time? If not, that's OK. Thanks so very much for your time and trouble.

You are absolutely correct, you need only reset your cookies capability. To do this, select the "Update Profile" option from the front page of board (near the top) and ascertain that the "enable cookies" option has been selected. Then simply save your changes, and after your next post, the board shall recognize you again!

I apologize for the difficulty you've had with your signature. I have been doing some maintenence on our computers (all the monkeys here break them all the time) and have been busy. You seem to have gotten it all right.
Please don't feel retarted. That's what a "tech thread" is for. If you ever wish to delete posts after you're satisfied that you've got them right, just go to the "broken" paper at the top of your post and it will let you delete it.
