I have monkeys that live here and want to post in the place where the adopted monkeys used to be. I tried giving the new monkeys the abandoned slots, but it doesn't work. Is there a way to make it work?
Thank you

Dear Annie,

If you'll send the particulars to wendel@daisycara.com-- that is:

1. the names of your monkeys who wish to join the board, and
2. any pictures you want to use of these new monkeys

I believe I can assist you.

Humbly yours,
Wendel

Oh Yeah,

To fix your avatar first right click on the picture I found and go all the way down and click on 'properties'. From the little window that opens up just copy the address URL.(drag mouse to highlight and right click to select copy)

Now go to the top of this page where it says update profile and enter your name and password. A form shows up with a place marked 'avatar'. Make sure it is empty and clean as a whistle then 'paste' the address from the picture.

Bingo.

yeah,I did all this but my avatar is still not there.why?

Nope, you have a link to nowhere. You need to host the picture some other place and put the address to that place, with the picture name.

One way to test if your photo is working is to place the address of the picture in your browser like a web address. If you can see the picture there (assuming it's uploaded somewhere on the internet and not just on your computer) then you have the right photo address.

Here's the link you have in your avatar, and if you click on it, you'll see no picture there.

http://www.sockmonkeyfun.com/Sock_Monkey_18.htm

If you don't have a place to host your photos online, you can get a free account at places like Photobucket.

OK, here is my problem. When I click on "reply with quote" like I did to write this message, my message actually makes it to the board. Last night, when I clicked on the "post reply" clown and left a heartfelt message to the board in another thread, it didn't show up. It still isn't there today.

That's a peculiar problem you have there, Annie.

It seems like we've seen this problem before. It's probably a problem with your browser. Umm . . .

What browser are you using and what version?

I will try to replicate your situation and we shall see what we can figure out.

You can just delete the quote above you if you want to continue to use your "Kluge" and I am very sorry we didn't get to read your heartfelt message.

About time it showed up. Out of 3 posts, 1 showed up immediately as usual, 1 showed up by early morning, and the other showed up couple of hours after that. Though I noticed the same for other posts other than mine. On the main page, the new post is listed but doesn't show up when you click on the thread

Mario: I actually had some zucchini bread for breakfast, I've never been a big fan of bananas. Though if someone came up with potato chip bread - I'd be one happy monkey!

Ms Kitchen Longtail: My MOBO Bronco is so gentle, he's like a big puppy.

Wysi Wyg: I'll let you know if I'm still having problems.

Emptying the cache has no affect. I've also changed the "check for newer versions of the stored pages" from "every visit" to "automatically" and back again - still no difference. I post regularly on several different messageboards, and this is the only board where my messages randomly show-up. Sometimes a few hours later, sometimes immediately, and sometimes 12 + hours later. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I was thumbing through the great grandma's recipe box and found this potato chip recipe. This might be good with BBQ chippies, and for an italliano twist, you could try those gourmet rosemary and olive oil chips.

Potato Chip Bread

2 cups flour
2 ½ cups baking powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup finely crushed potato chips
1 beaten egg
1 cup milk
2 tbsp oil

Grease a 9’’x 5’’ loaf pan. Then combine dry stuff into medium bowl. Combine wet stuff into small bowl. Stir wet and dry stuff together to make a soft dough. Empty dough into pan and bake at 350 F for 55 minutes.

Coco, Honey, I hates to ax you, but is that the right amount of baking powder? In my many years of holping make bread and biscuits, I've never seen that ray-she-owe of flour to baking powder, but I've never seen a recipe for 'tater chip bread before neither so I jest thought I'd ax.

Woops!

Must of had a little lint on my button eye. That should be 2 1/2 teaspoons of the baking powder.

Yea, with 2 1/2 cups it would be a really big, airy loaf of bread.

Cheeky Monkey Emma - I have to admit defeat.

I don't know why this is happening to you but to no one else at this time.

I suggest you write to novogate.com, our message board provider, and see if they have any suggestions for you.

Are any of the other boards you post on novogate systems, or are they some other provider?

I think that everything's back to normal. The last 3 posts I made showed up immediately. The funny thing is...nothing changed, it's just working now *crossing my fingers*. All last week was bad, I had one post show-up 5 days later. Maybe it was a glitch in the system, this is the only Novogate board that I post on.

Good day!

Oh Deary Me. We are having a technicality problem. We can usually only see some of the Smonkey picksures and avatars. Like we can always see Coco's avatar but lately (the past couple of munce) we can't see Knitty or my BFF Cinnamon or Ginger's avatars and we can't see any of the fun picksures unless we go to a whole different computer to look. Once in a great while the picksures show but usually there is just a sad little blue box with a question mark inside. We are using Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) whatever that means. Munky told me to put that in case it means something important. What should we do?

Isn't Safari something you use on the fancy Banana computers, like Benny Hathaway uses?

We're strictly PC people here, so it looks like WYSI will have to help you. But we just wanted to stop by and offer some moral support, even if you can't see us.
