This old thread seems like a good place to hide you, I guess. I've got stuff to say, but there's nobody to talk to around here in Queen Daisy's Land of All Who Worship Her!! It's like nobody else even exists, much less has anything worthwhile to say! Which is BOGUS!!

Dear Diary,
It's a DRAG trying to get some computer time around here without people hanging all OVER you! Don't know how long I've got before someone comes back. Deva's here, but he just sits on his perch and meditates all day, QUIETLY. And Wendel never takes his nose out of his own computer. In fact, generally the guys are a lot more tolerable, tho' Mulchee's kind of, you know, "Popcorn!" all the time and that can be MAJORLY annoying even though everybody seems to think it's cute.
Speaking of annoying: the Queen of Diz has been blah-blah-blah-ing since yesterday about this stupid Corn Hole concert. Of course, guess who'll go and who'll stay behind to watch the paint peel? Guess who ever gets to go to ANYthing?! It's not fair. I want to do something cool, too! And I

Dear Diary,
Today was actually worth the effort.
I have NO IDEA how this possibly happened, but I got to go with most of the gang to the university today. It was gonna be the Hyde Park monkeys' "see-ya!" shebang, but they couldn't make it so we ended up running around on campus instead. Which was sorta interesting. People actually held us and stuff. That was almost cool. And then we got to order pizza.
More tomorrow.
P.S. Oh, and Daisy lost one of her precious "ornamental flowerings" in the shuffle and got all freaked out, so that was an unadvertised BONUS!

Dear Diary,
I watch Missus M make new monkeys every single week. I'm the one she kept up on her worktable for a long time, you know. She didn't do that with any of the other monkeys. And now even on the Chair I can see everything, especially since she rearranged.
It's the weirdest stuff, I swear-- first bodies without heads, then heads without faces, and faces without mouths... all armless the whole time. Freakout city. But you get used to it after awhile, in a way. I guess. The longer you're here, it's a little less "yaaagghhh!!!" than it was before.
I noticed Mimi was real uncomfortable the first weekend after she arrived, cuz she was stuck there front and center without any warning! Some people never see it-- mostly the guys. Wonder what conspiracy's lurking behind THAT arrangement!
It was cloudy today. I like grey days. I think I'm gonna be LOVIN' this winter thing when it rolls around.
But in the meantime, I feel like I want to get on a Greyhound bus and go somewhere. Somewhere FAR from here!! A girl's gotta live to have a life, right?!

I think it's all in your head Veronica. Did it ever occur to you you were chosen By Missus M to sit on the worktable as a supervisor? And now you have your very own chair? That's a feat usually reserved for presidents and such.

Dear Diary,
People who read other people's private journals are total BONEHEADS!
Some strangers are coming to the Farm and the whole place has been turned upside down. DM is running around giving people orders like she's in charge or something. "Somebody needs to wash the butterfly quilting! Have you weeded out the rose beds yet?!" Blah blah blah. It really makes me want to smack her.
My only job is to keep the monkey workshop straight, and I'm the one who decides how and when that happens!

Dear Diary,
The big hoo-hah this weekend wasn't so bad. I kind of like the 4th of July... it was nice 'n' noisy all day with cannon fire and stuff. And I pretty much got left alone to do what I wanted, only I had to come out with everyone else for dinner. That was OK... there was ice cream and I like that.
I SERIOUSLY need to get my own room. I totally dig being in charge of the workshop, but Miss Thing still lives there, too, and so naturally she's always butting in with how she thinks things should be done. Plus, she's always changing the radio station! I wish they'd just keep her down with the garden tools or something!!

Dear Diary,
Guess I'm behind... cuz I've actually been DOING some stuff for a change!
OK, first I got to go see "Spiderman," which was completely cool! I think I'd like to be able to fly around the city like that, leaping over everybody else's heads and not having to wait around on traffic and stuff and people going "ooooh!" Yeah, I could dig that-- being AMAZING!! I'm not sure about the saving dumb-heels who get themselves into trouble, though; shouldn't survival of the fittest come into play there? I think so.
Then I guess the moon turned blue or something, because I actually won the drawing to go to the county fair! No WAY did I expect that! The Thing got to go too, of course, and also the Captain, but he was actually kinda fun. I got to ride in the FRONT seat in Missus M's lap and I think I got in more pictures than Thing before it was all over, too! But I really wanted to ride the ferris wheel to see what it was like to be that high in the sky, and dumb old "I'm The Center of Attentioning!" had to ride the baby merry-go-round and we couldn't just split up and we ran out of tickets so I didn't get to go up!! And who knows when I'll get to go to a fair again? That just was NOT fair and is SO what I'm talking about with her and it bugs me that I just made a pun!!
The workshop's been all neglected since Missus M has had all this stuff going on this month, but she says we're gonna kick it into gear this weekend so I've been getting everything ready to go. I even oiled the sewing machine and sorted the material better than she had it. The Thing tried to get in the middle of it once, but boy I let her have it! She got all huffy and looked like she was gonna cry and stuff, but she left cuz she KNEW I was really right.
Somedays, you just gotta work at it.

I heard the song this morning I'm supposed to be named after. Plus a bunch of other stuff of his that Dee Dee played for me. I think I like Elvis Costello. He can be really mean. I bet he made all his girlfriends cry.

Dear Diary,
I guess it wasn't too lame of an idea to come back for the Festival, after all (and my displays looked COMPLETELY kickin', thank you very much).
It's actually been OK here ever since we got back. Karl loves the libraries (of course), and Mimi hasn't gotten in my grill much. Daisy Marie says she's gonna give me my own web page, too. I can live with all that.
And now there's all this new "what?! what?!" with this Halloween thing kicking off. I can already tell it's gonna go waaaay out of hand!
I'm diggin' this part.

Maybe you could switch to Invisionfree? They are an extremely good message board hosting service, that is free. It does not have "archives" where old posts go to. IT is extremely easy to manage, and lets you do everything you cvould do on here...except without bad things. If you wanna check the site out, www.invisionfree.com
