No not Gerta!

She was the most beautiful Sock Monkey I ever laid eyes on. Her expressive blue features reminded me of the cool clean water in swimming pools... so true and honest. Not to mention now her little brother is siblingless. The pain she must feel in being parted is beyond comprehension.

I shall be sad forever.

I know my sister! Gerta saw an oppertunity and jumped at it.
She thought that jewelry that lady was wearing was real.
Always in search of greener pastures she was...always talking about making a big splash in E-bay and this and that..always batting her eyes at anybody wearing a nice outfit...She leaped right into that girl's purse.

I did not confront the situation in a particularly decorous manner.
We had all these bands playing at SHFL and they drew a big crowd who had never been here before.
I have a few suspects...but they aren't real suspects because I don't have any clues.
It happened at the end of the night when I had just slipped off to the back for a moment. Flakey and both my other roommates were in the front room where I keep the monkeys and they didn't see anything....
I have a strong suspicion that it was friends of those two bands. I don't want those bands playing here again 'till somebody comes up with my monkeys.

Hi ho the merrie O,
SUPERMONK is back!

He arrived unceremoniously jammed into an oversized envelope, his cape is gone, he only has one eye, and the place where his other eye should be has a hole. He is covered in gunk of every sort, INCLUDING MOTOR OIL and he looks nothing like himself. But he is home. Tanis and I will get him all put back together and give him a bath (sorry Vinny, but it's crucial) and SUPERMONK will be super again.

Love and hugs from us to you,
Annie and Tanis and SUPERMONK

We are very happy to hear this glorious news Annie.

I know you love him even with the grease and all. You've were probably told not to touch baby birds because then their mommas wouldn't want them. That's a big lie. All babaies smell like all kinds of bad things and real momma's don't care.

My faith in humanity has been restored.

Baths are a sensitive issue in the Sock Monkey community. Did he scream and wince when you cleaned him? Did you wash off any superpower? Was it a sponge bath or a bubble bath? Was there a rubber monkey to play with?

Most imporantly, What about a the drying process? I hope you didn't go modern with electricity.

Good show, old chum! Escaping from The Mechanic could not have been an easy proposition - that dastardly villain has long been one of our cruellest, strongest foes! But your quick thinking and super abilities no doubt saved you from being ground into sockburger by his deadly pistons of power.

Nice to have you back! Rest well! Evil never sleeps.

That is so awesome! I admit, I underestimated SUPERMONK's powers - I thought he was probably a goner. So did the envelope have a return address or note inside or anything? I bet MixMonk's posters and your tenacious wanted-poster posting freaked the thief out. Hopefully SUPERMONK will share his tale when he is ready.

This made my day!

Hoorah! We are having a party in honor of Supermonks return.
We are all SO very happy for you, Annie, especially.
As for the bath, Antoine and I still remember vague sensations from our past lives as work socks...we took baths once a week in a giant tub, swirling and swirling, submerged in blackness.....(shuddering)
When I see Abalonia head out with the laundry basket, I run and hide. I never bathe now, but then, I NEVER get dirty either.

Nicely said, Mr. Wally!

Supermonk, it made my day to find out that you returned to our dear Annie and her monkey family again, albeit somewhat molested. You'll feel super again soon, sweetie. I really feel it. There's something about you that... that...

Daisy Marie, what am I trying to say?

I have thinkings that what you want to make sayings of, Missus Mel'nee, is that Supermonk has the miracleness you need for actuallee being super, all the way to flying over the moonbeams and turning things better through your own beingness!

The more I have thinkings upon it, the more happiness I feel about this returning! I think Missus Mel'nee is being happier too! She has the hopefulness of doing about her!

Also, pleese know that I have very great hopings that Miss Olivia's friends will be able to come home soon, too! I am wishing it with all of my selfing!
