Tamara, i am once again amazed at your incredible talent and artistry. you are truly gifted. I looked at all your creations. The Betty Boop is fantastic! Also, the philanthropist and the Afghan boy--wow, what made you think of that?? So great. Princess Leia is always a favorite. I could go on and on. Your monkeys are in a class by themselves.

Tamara, you are sooooo good. I admire your gift for rendering your "character" critters so recognizably! (Your Betty Boop is an awesome example of that.) Right on!

I am just following in the footsteps of the great monkeys makers I've seen here and the great grandmas before them.

Here is a new monkey I made this week from some irregular socks I found on ebay, I think he's awefuly cute, and the irregularity makes him have even more character.

He's very cute Kathy! What have you named him? I haven't decided what kind of character to make with the pair you sent me, so I'm saving them until I decide.

I just recently made a monkey for myself, for the first time. All of my other monkeys were taken in or left with me. But just like Brad and Angelina, I like them all equally, whether they are home grown or acquired.

Great ears. Nice vintage button eyes. And a fabulous costume (love the shoes).

Thanks for all the positive feedback! Here's some more munkeys born in Nebraska this week, the shop has been slow, so I have been stitching up a storm at the shop. I cant not believe how much nicer the vintage socks are to sew on. I wish I could get my chubby little fingers on more vintage socks. I will be sewing clothes (I can't call them outfits, Barts says "only girl munkeys wear outfits") and props and stuff this weekend.
One of these guys has a blank look on his face.

What a bunch of cuties! I love the first monkey up top. That jacket is fantastic! Did you make the pattern?
You are so quick too, I wish I had that kind of producing power. I struggle to make 2 monkeys in a week.

I know what you mean about the vintage... I wish there were some way to convince Fox River to make that style again.

Oh my goodness! That gives me remindings of a timing long ago...

http://www.novogate.com/board/5148/...5/185592-1.html

I have noticings that Missus Mel'nee made soundings like Wendel then! I think she really had the nervous self-consciousnesses at the first, until she learned how to stop being of such seriousness and just make the playings! Whee! I am of a great happiness that she did!

Any of the ways, I would like to pleese make commentings that I am of perfect contentments to be a sock monkey girl of my generationing and none the other! As my Cool Girl friend Nellie Bellie would make sayings of it: "Do not have frownings because your face is of brownings!" Tee-hee!

At the same timing, I have thinkings that every monkey peeple- with the face of brownings, whiteness, or even greenacity or purpleness- is of beautifulness just exactly as they have their beings! And so I have agreements that it would be a thing of usefulness to make creatings of all the socks of the rainbow, to keep preventions of our variety-ness from disappearances!

Thank you! Pleese be a very happy every-of-the-body peeples! You are all pretty!

Dear Sweet Daisy,
Please do not take ofense to the fact that I think vintage socks are easier to sew with. That has NOTHING to do with who I love most. In fact,,, don't tell the other Nebraska munkeys, but Red Velvet, who was my first born, is a late generation munkey, and she is so dear to me, most probably my favorite. Its' like childbirth, some children are born easier than others. You know me, dear Daisey, and I love and cherish every sock munkey. ((((hugs))) to you! Kathy

Hello everyone,
Please accept my true apologies for being so neglectful. I get frustrated with our out-in-the-boondocks dial up internet connection so I just don't get on the computer. Last week my favorite firefighter agreed that we need faster speed so we'll be getting Hughesnet next week.
I have missed all you so much and I am so looking forward to getting back in the monkeyswing of things and showing you pictures of new monkeys that have come to share our bunkhouse with us. We were also very happy to meet all the s'monkeys during a recent trip to the Bay area, and we hope you will enjoy our photos from there.

Big hugs to All!

Us too! We have been neglectingful. We have been playing in the leaves and running around outside because the summer is still here and it won't be long til the winter time is here. But we still read all the messages every day. We just can't think of things to say sometimes because we are thinking about being outside!

Hi Sally!

Gosh I've missed you! And hi Annie, it was sure nice to meet you.

The weather has been warm and sunny here, but we haven't gotten too far from home lately. The girl had another Boo Boo Bob incident. Crutches are involved this time.

But she did go out on a little errand close to home in her car a couple of nights ago, and got a flat tire.

I don't know how the heck that happened, since we didn't even bid on GB's tire flattener in the big Benny Needs a Banana fun raisin'. The auto club put the little spare on, so she could come home and hobble up the stairs on her crutches.

Good try Ginger, but I don't think Squishy travels without the whole Red Heel staff. He's got quite an entourage.

Thanks Benny, but it looks like our laptop hard drive might be an easy to change part, which would be great because we like everything else about it.
