So new, the naming discernment and ceremony have not even taken place! so new, the blue monk has not even arrived at our home! adopted from the eBay late Thursday night, it is the first ever blue monk we know of in Durham.

Every of the body is all a-buzz.

Hi, every of the body! I am here at last. Just one question: where exactly is "here"? I'm kind of new to cyberspace.

my name is Blueberry. I was adopted from the land of eBay thanks to a timely alert from one of the wonderful sock monkey makers here at the board who sent an email to Sharon about one of my relatives.

Now I live at Bull City with Googlie and 43 other sockosimians. Googlie says he will show me the ropes. I haven't seen any yet, but I love to swing through the air and play Tarzan. Should be a lot of fun.

Hi! I'm blue, but I'm not blue.

No way. Uncle Gabby doesn't have the pompoms on his chest. I'm sure I've seen George Clooney sporting pompoms on the red carpet more than once.

Not any more you snooty blue socks! A new eBay record was set today. A whopping $300 for a book on how to make sock dolls and six pairs of socks. Thats almost $50 smackaroos per pair, for brown socks.

Good Day! Unfortunately, we are not able to determine with accuracy the monetary value of the book versus the socks. One could argue that the book sold for $294 and the socks sold for $6 thus making the value of the sock at $1 per pair. However, one could also surmise that the book sold for $1 and the socks for $299 thus making the socks worth $49.833333333333 per pair. Alas, we will never know. Thank you.

Indeed.
It was the book that fetched the high price. NOT the common FMR browns.
Note the wording in the item description said nothing about the socks being vintage and i would be certainly suprised if they actually were.

Excuses!

There are a bunch of that book available with a buy it now for less than $10. We got a copy for a coupla bucks recently. One sold the day before for $7 bucks.

I think they were just swept away with the charm of the brown monkeys.

Are the blue monkeys the most literary of monkeys? Just curious as to why there's no thread for any of the other monkeys?

Inquiring minds want to know...

The whole board is for sock monkeys of all colors.

It's just that Bluedella thinks being blue is too special to mingle with the regular rift raft, since we're kind of rare. Nobody seems to know when we were loomed, or for how long, but there aren't a lot of us around.

Not all blue monkeys are of the same thinking of my sister.
We are circa late 70's to early '80's freaks. The Nelson knitting company was bored...the sale of the red heel had fallen so they thought they would liven things up a bit by tossing some blue yarn into the machine. big whoop.

Hi Dude!
It's cold here in Nebraska. But we all just snuggle more, and drink hot chocky. What do Blue Munkeys like to do? Do we have a special purpose? Are their very many blue sock munkeys here? I'm the only one I know.
See ya!
Noel

Hi everyone! A new baby blue monk was born at Sock Monkey Ranch today. Her name is Bonnie Blue. I'm not sure how long she will be at the ranch, but I did want her to meet others of her crystal blue persuasion.

Hi I'm Bonnie Blue and I was just born today. My, the world is a bright and beautiful place! Any words of wisdom for a newborn monkey to start her life with? I'm eager to learn from my "elders".
