It has recently been determined that the Peeple have to pay thousands of dollars if they are ever going to reopen the doors of Super Happy Fun Land to the screeching loudness of the people and bands again.
Although the people and the bands jangle my nerves and make me crawl even deepr into the recesses of the Super Happy Fun Land library to hide, Super Happy Fun Land is the only home we have, an if the Peeple can't be open, then they can't make money, and if they can't make money, then soon I will be forced to sell handmade bottlecap jewelry on the streets, where I will also live.

In order to stave off the wolves of desolation, we have had to come up with unsusal ways of making money. The Girl has FINally started putting things up on Ebay, but is going about it very slowly.
Also, the Girl says she will be taking orders.
She also has some blue socks that she will be willing to sell to the highest bidder, and is wondering if they would sell better as a monkey or as just the socks.

here are the links to the ebay auctions..if I can get them to work....
here is the link to SUper Happy Fun Land
www.superhappyfunland.com

and now I have to go force the Girl to make more stuff to sell.
I don't want to sell lousy bottle cap jewelry on the street where I also live either.
It is lousy enough when we are street busking.

There are also several members of the Home For Wayward Raggedies, who would not mind being adopted into permenant and less-crowded homes.
I just don't condone using Ebay as an adpotion agency for them for various reasons.
I might be starting a Raggedy Anne and Andy Adoption agency very soon..I just hardly get a moment to myself to do it in.

Well I think it would be a shame to put the Raggedies up for adoption. You have quite the little workforce on your hands if you play your cards properly...if you get my drift...

Well...too bad I already have a home. I am certain that whoever has enough money to purchase me would certainly have a posh lifestyle.

We don't just have Raggedies at the Home for Wayward Raggedy Annes and Andys...
Just last week, these two came in

The big one we call Baby Dumpling. The smaller one goes by Ennis, though I doubt that is her real name.

Baby Dumpling is missing an arm, and both of them are in need of TLC. They will always have a place at The Home, and I would never ship them off to E-Bay, but if a better home were available, for the mere cost of adoption processing fees, I could arrange for their transport to new a new loving family. I don't wish for them to be separated...they have had a hard life and need to stay together. That is the only catch.
Anyone wishing to adopt them can PM me.

and these are two new monkeys that the Girl made. She was kinda saving them for the live auction coming up soon....but if anyone sees them and wants to adopt them first, we are accepting any reasonable offers.

The are kinda freaky looking, but they have nice personalities. The blue one has a hat made out of a melted record.

The grandma at SMR has been wondering about this, too. She has some blue socks and was wondering if they would sell better as socks or as blue monkeys? Which would you rather buy?

She thought she saw a blue red heel monkey sell on ebay a while back for around $180, but can't find the closed listing now. No other blue red heels show up in closed listings.

Whatcha think???

If she had asked my opinion, which she did not, I would probably say make monkeys (we can never have enough). I'm sure the monkeys that would emerge from those lovely blue skins would be royal blue bloods.

Of course, that might make them snooty - hmmmmmmm

Or maybe they would have royal blood, but didn't know it...a lost princess...an undiscovered prince. What if they met? What if they fought when they first met and then discovered that they were developing feelings for each other? What if he fought with another cowboy I mean, sock monkey over her and the night ended in a kiss? A kiss she couldn't forget????

Oh, sorry, I lost myself for a moment. Of course, that could never happen!

Being made of blue socks does not necc. make the monkey snooty.
I think it was the vintage pink doll dress that did it for my sister.

Last week a single blue pair sold for $33. That is about the range these days, so you could probably get more for a monkey. But maybe you could start slowly with one or two to see how they sell before using the others, since it's such a precious commodity.

The girl hijacked my MySpace account to send you some big long message with a bunch of her ramblings on fun raisin' that she thought might be helpful stuff.

Our human tried to buy some blue socks. She has it in her head that our only blue monkey needs a friend. Of course, if she were a pretty little blue monkey, I wouldn't complain too much. We just don't have enough pretty gal monkeys around this joint!

Wow am I sorry I hadn't seen this thread before today. Of course we want to do everything we can to save Super Happy Fun Land. Um . . . do you need us to send you a care package of things? Are you having any fund raisers down there that we could send some buttons or posters or other monkey product for? How else can we help?

Yetch, you bumbling bundle of dry rot, my crow and I have developed a telegraph type system! It pecks outlined images into the stuffing that serves as my brain, and I see these pictures internally, much like a psychic or mystic. Then it eats a little bit of that stuffing as a reward.
