Emily

Emily is the Number One Monkey – the first monkey to arrive at the Red Heel Monkey Shelter.  She’s been a little annoyed at every single monkey that’s come in through the Red Heel’s doors since.  Emily is a Bed Monkey – the monkatype with the most status in Monkey Society.  A Bed Monkey who is also a Number One Monkey in a Monkey Shelter is enough status to go to anyone’s head, and Emily is no exception.  Emily claims her occupation is “Maintaining the Structural Integrity of the Bed”.  She is also a surprisingly active musician, participating in every Bed Monkey Band known to the Red Heel and maintaining her own rap group, Public Emily.  But her favorite band is her old-timey/jug band project, Bank & Hanger.
